Making Money Programs: Scam or Success

There are many money making scams around, whether it is on the internet or in the newspapers a scam is a scam. On line, it could be anything from being paid to read e-mails or selling items on Ebay. You encounter money making scam in the ads people put in the newspaper.

A couple of the more familiar ones are the envelope stuffing jobs. The concept sounds good, stuff envelopes, we provide the insert and stamps and all you have to do is stuff and mail. All with a promise of you getting a check for 1500.00. But what they don’t tell you is that you only get paid if someone buys something off of the ad on the insert. Now you have spent hours and hours stuffing and sealing envelopes and you have nothing but blisters to show for it.

Another great scam is the processing of government refunds. Yeah right, what kind of government agency is going to advertise in a penny saver for people to work and then provide some 800 number with a million digit extension.  If you actually fall for that one, then I have a bridge to sell you.

There are some legit work from money making program like the medical or legal transcriptionist program but they require some type of certification. Those are the ones if you are qualified are great.

Then you have the jewelry assemblers. Assemble bracelets, necklaces, magnets, all a scam. You may do the work but maybe 9 times out of 10 if you do get paid it is very little.

The best one of all time, is the secret shoppers, not the ones the stores hire but the ones that again advertise in the local paper with an 800 number and a recording. In cases like this, you call and they want you to do some secret shopping at a near by store. The beauty of this plan is that the employees are unaware of a secret shopper, lets face it if they knew it wouldn’t be secret.

You get instructions to go into a store and evaluate the employees, the way the store is run etc. You go you do the job you write out the paperwork. Some companies let you e-mail the results, they actually send you a check but alas the check bounces. You have to be very careful, because some people will cash these at a check cashing place and they will give you the money and then they come to find out the check bounced and now you are in big legal trouble because you passed a bad check.

Be wary of any money making programs. Always check out the company BEFORE you do any work for them, this will save you a lot of heartache.
